Biography

Keith’s interest in art started in middle school  where he took a one semester art exploration class. This lead to him taking a full  four years of art in high school where his extraordinary art teacher, Amy Bodle, encouraged him to pursue his talent.  Ms. Bodle invited local artists to give demonstrations in class; where he meet a life long friend, Charles Walls. Mr. Walls was providing private instruction and was instrumental to his early art education. While in  high school he won an art competition held by Gordon College  in Barnesville, GA, and received an art scholarship where he earned an Associates of  Arts.  He continued his education  at Gordon College under the instruction of Marlin Adams, and then finished his collegiate education with a Bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University.

Keith has an avid interest in physics and astronomy and has learned much about art by studying the intricacies of light science. He has great admiration for  scientist/artists like Albert Einstein,  Leonardo Da Vinci, Georges Seurat,  Richard Feynman, Stephen Hawking , and M.C. Escher to name a few. While these people were giants of their time Keith is most inspired by those artists he has had the fortune to know through out his life.

Keith is married to Marcy House. Marcy is a Foreign Service Officer with the State Dept.  Her job will keep them moving every couple of years to a new destination. Their first and current post is to Sonora, Mexico. Mack and Nigel are the remaining  members of the family. They  are a pair of great cats that are wonderful only when they are not stealing his paint brushes.
